Dr. Alicia McComas

Naturopathic Doctor

Dr. McComas enjoys spending time in nature. Her love for the outdoors, deep connection with plants, and reverence for the earth profoundly shaped her journey into naturopathic medicine. From an early age, this bond with nature fostered a belief in its intrinsic healing power. This passion for the natural world led her to pursue a career that aligns with her core values – using the earth’s resources to promote health and healing. Through naturopathic medicine, she is dedicated to treating the whole person and empowering others to achieve wellness by embracing nature’s wisdom.

As a Naturopathic Doctor, Dr. McComas focuses on helping her clients uncover and address the issues behind their health challenges.  She believes symptoms are the body’s way of telling us something is out of balance and focuses on treating the root cause, rather than simply masking or suppressing the symptoms.  This personalized approach aims to guide her clients toward true, lasting wellness.

Dr. McComas earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Eastern New Mexico University and her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Sonoran University in Tempe, AZ. She is an active member of the Naturopathic Medicine Institute, the Arizona Naturopathic Medical Association, the American Herbalist Guild, and the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians.

With a focus on digestive disorders, allergies, autoimmune disease, cardiovascular conditions, hormonal imbalances in both men and women, chronic fatigue, and chronic pain, Dr. McComas provides comprehensive care for a wide range of general health concerns. She integrates whole food-based nutrition, homeopathy, botanical medicine, and mind-body techniques to restore health and prevent disease.

Her practice is grounded in the six core Naturopathic Principles: first, do no harm; the healing power of nature; identify and treat the cause; doctor as teacher; treat the whole person; and prevention. Dr. McComas believes that we are triune beings and that all dis-ease originates in one of three areas: the physical and structural, the chemical and nutritional, or the mental, emotional, and spiritual. She emphasizes that when one area is out of balance, it affects the others.
